Magnesium Oxide for Fibromyalgia
To poop or not to poop, that is the question! It's really not so much a question but rather a concern. The more people I coach and help through their Fibromyalgia journey so they can feel better, the more I encounter people who can't poop! I have to admit, I'm one of those people. After I quit gluten a few years ago and then quit smoking, my potty trips became practically non-existent. And that's a bad thing!!
Pooping is vital not only to our survival, but vital to our symptom free life. If we don't poop, we can't eliminate all of the toxins that build up in our intestinal tract. It's like the Lollapalooza of bacteria parties going on in our guts. Bacteria build up is bad. It can literally cause our Fibro symptoms.
I do several things to keep all systems go (LOL!!!) and magnesium oxide is just one of those things. Magnesium in general is vital to our existence. It is required for at least 300 different processes in our body. Most doctors would agree that the average person is deficient in magnesium.
The benefits of magnesium oxide are as follows:
help boost low magnesium levels
relieve constipation
manage depression
treat migraines
Leg cramps
Cardiac issues: arrhythmias, palpitations, blood pressure changes, murmurs
Muscle and bone pain
Anxiety and depressed moods
High blood pressure
Insomnia
Fatigue

The best thing about magnesium oxide is its effects on constipation. You can buy it in powder form and start slowly to work your way up to a dosage that works for you. Most packages will tell you to start with 1/3 of a teaspoon. You can add it to plain water, stir, and drink. You can't even taste it.
My doctor prescribed me Linzess for my bowel affliction. With insurance it was $300. I don't think so!!! Magnesium oxide is only $10 for 8 ounces and as far as I'm concerned works better than laxatives.
If you have any questions or concerns always check with your doctor first.
